Kerry’s a co-owner of a digital marketing firm that focuses on Cybersecurity B2B AND! Host of Tea Time with Tech Marketing Leaders Podcast.
She’s neurodivergent (officially), a kind partner, and just wants everyone to live their best life.
Rad to the core.
I found this particular video challenging because of a technical issue. During a live broadcast we didn’t press “record local” which saves a video file for each speaker. Instead, the output was a side-by-side view (and that’s good for some but not good enough for this tea-sipping podcast host).
I went old school and set-up my video editing tool to have three copies of the same video and one audio file (because that’s all we got this time). I played around with cropping and zoom tools to pull off the back-and-forth approach to add some variety (thank goodness the guest was SO animated which made this edit a lot of fun). From time to time, I’d jump back to the side-by-side view because this pair was going crazy with smiles, laughs, hand gestures, and all of the best reactions.
Two weeks in I found a link in my DMs to this delightful review:
One week further (into our creative partnership) she mentioned that “you’re my guy.” Creative arm of MKG Marketing. Blessed.
Mike, a community founder / fractional marketing expert, was looking for a creative way to take a text-only review to something with another dimension.
The Gym Community is a place for solo entrepreneurs to come together and have a safe space to share, connect, and grow together.
I worked with him to record his video explainer and edited provided video and graphics together, along with some music I acquired and incorporated.
While Jill continues to grow her freelance business, The Birding Nurse, she wanted to help others feel empowered by sharing their cancer stories.
With a growing freelance business, Jill enlisted me initially to help with Social media clips and posts, provide consultation/recommendations, update descriptions & titles, and provide ad-hoc services as appropriate. Now, as Jill continues to grow her freelance business and acquire sponsors, I enjoy editing her podcast episodes as well (as of episode 23 of her Everything Cancer Podcast).
Meg is always up for innovative, creative, and professional disruption in the workplace. After a few consultation sessions, we put together some guides, templates, and brainstorming ideas for marketing with YearUp. It was fun to be able to just do two solid sessions of Q&A. Meg came to the conversation prepared with a lot of questions and it was a really great experience helping her with communication, creative ideas, and some private podcast possibilities.
William Glade asked for help with idea generation and communication coaching for his Small & Simple Podcast. Idea generation involved an one hour session before we started recording. Then, I scheduled weekly hour-long sessions to review speaking notes / discussion points and press record. Using the power of remote video recording tool (Squadcast), I was able to monitor Will’s communication skills, delivery, and cadence. If there was something that needed to be re-recorded, I could easily mark that timestamp and jump in (similar to a movie director would). As a result, my advice and recommendations helped Will trim down his podcast recording from 45 minutes to 15 minutes to achieve a podcast episode with a 10 minute finished run-time.

This experience brought on new challenges with a 13 hour timezone difference and a business owner who listened to bits of 2 podcasts. Beatrice was an absolute rookie - that didn’t stop her to work on interview skills, improve quality spaces, and become comfy with open-minded creative thinking. With regular sessions via Google Meet, starter templates and framework, use of Notion to collaborate in a creative way (move things around, leave comments, and expand on points where required) we delivered on an electric Season 1 for the Art of Branding Podcast. Beatrice has introduced affiliate marketing in Season , increased her communication and public speaking skills drastically, and now has the confidence to lean into a deep-dive approach with industry experts and influencers.
Will there be a Season 3? I sure hope so!
